Welcome to the Home of Joyful Makes, based on Dartmoor, between Ashburton and Bovey Tracey! Choose between two designs to make your own Everlasting Christmas Hoop. A beautiful bespoke decoration adorned with home grown dried blooms. Learn how to shape the willow which has been grown here on the farm to create your hoop. Choose between a traditional hoop or a more contemporary woven wired hoop. Refreshments and cake will be provided. Important Info: This workshop is suitable for all abilities, but is adults only. We’re located on the edge of Dartmoor, sandwiched between Ashburton and Bovey Tracey. Full directions will be emailed to you. The studio is located up steep granite steps. Please allow 3 hours for this workshop. All resources are provided for you. This workshop is laid back and friendly, so if you’re coming by yourself, don’t worry. Blooms in Allenway Jug I bought this little Allenway jug from a local charity shop and immediately fell in love with it. It's pretty blue pattern and lovely shaped handle. Stuffed with pastel coloured blooms, I couldn't resist making a painting of it. This print is taken from the original acrylic on board. The print is available as an A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) or as an A3 (29.7cm x 42cm). All prints are printed on high quality fine art 300gsm Marrutt art paper. There's no border around this particular print. Prints are sent wrapped in tissue and backed with a hardbacked envelope. -

Inspired by the Selfish Giant, Oscar Wilde, this print is taken from original illustrations that have been digitalised. Using pen/ink and coloured pencils, this is a gorgeous botanical print of a linnet standing on a gold frame. Printed on Canon 260gsm paper with a white border the text at the bottom reads "I believe Spring has come at last". Available as A4 and A3 Print. The print is supplied on a cardboard backing and is wrapped in recycled hand drawn eco tissue paper. -

A little quote from C.S Lewis is written on the front "Courage, dear heart" Inside there's an original design of Aslan which has been printed. Measuring 15cm round and depth 4.5cm, it's beautifully packaged with dried blooms and tissue paper. -

This bespoke freestanding table /mantle decoration is a bespoke, pretty dec that mixes my dried blooms, with illustrations printed on recycled papers. This lovely combination sits within a brass 12" hoop and is finished with a silk bow. This is perfectly placed at the head of a festive table, or a way to decorate a Christmas mantle. Illustrations appear on one side. Measuring 12" round it's beautifully packaged with dried blooms and tissue paper. Please keep dried blooms away from a direct heat source. -

It's always a busy time on the farm, but sometimes there are moments when I realise the magic is always in the small things. I cannot tell you how happy I was to bark chip the flower farm paths! It was an eight hour slog of shovelling bark chip into a wheelbarrow, but with the sun on my face, the birds singing and the radio playing something smooth and jazzy I was so happy being outside in my happy place. It reminded me that the good stuff is always found if you just take the time to look....This print is a celebration of that. This is a fusion of digital and hand drawn art. This everlasting bouquet is a decorative hanging (hang on a wall or simply stand up on a shelf). Each bouquet is painted by hand and the design is from an original drawing which has been laser-cut from sustainably forested wood. The design comprises tulips, anemones, snowdrops and lavender with a teal blue painted bow. The bouquet measure 30cm in height. As each bouquet is unique, hand painting takes one week, so please bear this in mind when ordering. If you'd like me to hand write a note on your behalf, please just leave me a note at checkout.
