Hold onto your hats! So lockdown has given me some opportunity to really think about exploring other ways to bring storytelling, poetry and illustrations together and I’m SO EXCITED to say I’ve written and illustrated a book! A love letter to the countryside from a farm girl who feels she has a lot to say.

“Hope will always find its wings and fly back to us, even when we think it’s flown the nest”

A book written and illustrated for all ages. A tale that follows the animals, the farm and the family that reside within a little farmstead on the middle of Dartmoor. I hope that old and young hands will hold, read and treasure this book. It was written under the trees of Lurcombe Farm, where walks in the woods and toasted marshmallows by firelight in the summer of 2020 helped us rediscover a simpler way of life. May it be read as you curl up by the fire as a love letter to the countryside. When dreams are near, may this be read to children with wild eyes.

“Do not be afraid of shadows and shade. There is always light in the darkest of glades”

This hardback self-published book has been written and illustrated by little old me.

I’m proud to say it’s been made, designed, proof-read and printed within a 6 mile radius of greater Dartmoor.
