A print taken from an original acrylic on canvas. Dove and the bluebells.Thirty years ago I sat in a house with Mrs Reed who would become my piano teacher. She was an astute, witty, joyous woman who not only played the piano beautifully, but also the cello. Her music room stretched out to a garden that never seemed to end. She kept doves and every so often you could hear their coos. Containing 1–13 rising notes, and a sequence repeated 4–5 times per minute for many minutes on end, they were the soundtrack to her garden. It feels like a million years ago now. In time as I learnt to play, I was allowed to play in the garden after my lesson, climb the trees and look at the doves.I feel really connected to my own garden at the moment, more than I ever have and for a number of reasons. This memory popped into my head and I felt it deserved a little nod.The print is available as an A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) or as an A3 (29.7cm x 42cm). All prints are printed on high quality fine art 300gsm Marrutt art paper. Prints are sent wrapped in tissue and backed with a hardbacked envelope. -

A woman in reverie is not lost; she is gathering pieces of herself. In daydreams, she sketches new beginnings, revisits old joys, and dares to imagine softer tomorrows.
Sometimes the most powerful thing she can do is pause… and let her mind bloom.
This print is taken from an original illustration using mixed media. It's surrounded by a white border. The print is available as an A4 (21cm x 29.7cm) or as an A3 (29.7cm x 42cm). She is not posing. She is resting her face. She has survived emails, opinions, a mysterious ache in her left knee, and a conversation that started with “Can I just ask you something quick?”
She stands very still among the flowers because if she moves, someone will need her.
The roses are pale, like her patience. The birds know better than to speak. Time itself is holding its breath.
This is not a dramatic pause. This is a strategic one.
In a moment, she will open her eyes and return to being competent, kind, and helpful. But not yet.
