My seasonal workshop programme links up with my small scale flower farm, giving you creative workshops to enjoy. Acrylic ‘plein air’ bloom painting in the flower farm during August and September, hoop making in November and Christmas Craft in my cottage kitchen during December. All resources are provided and directions included via email confirmation.

In this painting masterclass, you'll be given some of my techniques to create a floral composition using acrylic on canvas, set within the beautiful grounds of the flower farm. We'll be painting outside within the flowers and will spend the afternoon finding joy with colour, texture and the atmosphere of painting "plein air". This class is suitable for all abilities. So if you haven't painted before, please don't worry! Important Info: This workshop is suitable for all abilities. Adults only. We’re located on the edge of Dartmoor, sandwiched between Ashburton and Bovey Tracey. Full directions will be emailed to you. This worshop is set within the flower which involves a short walk. The terrain isn't suitable for those with access difficulties. Sorry. In case of bad weather the workshop will shift to the studio and garden room. This is located up steep granite steps. Please allow 3 hours for this workshop and wear something you don't mind potentially getting dirty! This workshop is laid back and friendly, so if you’re coming by yourself, don’t worry. It’s relaxed and you’ll meet some lovely like minded people. What’s Included? Introduction and guided support All artist materials, which includes acrylics, oil pastels, canvas and brushes. Welcome to the Home of Joyful Makes, based on Dartmoor, between Ashburton and Bovey Tracey! Choose between two designs to make your own Everlasting Christmas Hoop. A beautiful bespoke decoration adorned with home grown dried blooms. Learn how to shape the willow which has been grown here on the farm to create your hoop. Choose between a traditional hoop or a more contemporary woven wired hoop. Refreshments and cake will be provided. Important Info: This workshop is suitable for all abilities, but is adults only. Welcome to the Home of Joyful Makes, based on Dartmoor, between Ashburton and Bovey Tracey! This workshop is a bespoke craft workshop and will take place in my Cottage Kitchen on Sunday 7th Dec from 1pm-4pm. The Cottage will be decorated for Christmas and we'll be making three giftable crafts for Christmas, a hand-painted Christmas decoration, a mini version of my Christmas willow tree and a papercraft wreath.
